About Dragon Racers Camp

Built by a Pan American Superbike Champion for Riders Visiting the Tail of the Dragon.

Riding motorcycles has been my life since I was 14 years old.

I became a Hungarian Motorcycle Road Racing Champion in 1994, at the very start of my racing career. For the next 30 years, I raced on and off — mostly as a privateer — with the help of many good friends and family. In most races, I was lining up against racers with far bigger budgets. In Hungary we were poor, and eventually I could no longer afford to race. I immigrated to the United States chasing the American dream — not knowing where it would lead, only knowing I wasn’t done. In America, hard work came first. I became a full-time caregiver for an elderly gentleman suffering from Parkinson’s disease in Florida. He later became my adopted grandfather. I cared for him 24/7 for 14 years. That chapter shaped me more than racing ever could. After he passed, I needed to move again — physically and mentally. I began transporting motorcycles across the country, discovering America one mile at a time. That’s when I found the Tail of the Dragon by accident. The first time I rode it, I knew I wanted to live here until the end of my days. I sold everything I owned in Florida and bought empty land just three miles from the Dragon. There were no buildings. No shortcuts. No investors. I built everything myself, by hand. It took two years before Dragon Racers Camp could open. This place was never meant to be a business in the traditional sense. It was built as my retirement — a quiet base near one of the greatest roads in the world — where I could ride, share stories, cook meals, sit by the fire, and surround myself with riders who understand what matters. Before retiring, I had one final goal: To race one last season before turning 50 — and win. I wanted to be able to say I was a champion when I started, and a champion when I finished. In 2024, I returned to racing after a 4 year hiatus and won nearly every race I entered, earning three Pan-American Superbike Championships in my final season. Dragon Racers Camp is the result of everything that came before it. It is intentionally small — only seven cabins. It is quiet by design. There are no employees. Guests usually become one group — riding together, cooking together, watching movies, sharing stories by the fire. If someone wants help improving their riding skills on the Dragon or in general, I’m happy to help. If they want a peaceful place to rest between rides, that’s respected too. This place is not for everyone — and it is not meant to be. It is for adult riders (18+) who respect skill, machines, the roads of the mountains, and each other. Sportbike-focused riders, with select ADV or Enduro riders welcome. Dragon Racers Camp is owned and operated by me. My girlfriend Lizi is also a Sportbike enthusiast and has been by my side for over 10 years, and she is the reason this place stays extremely clean and welcoming. We built this together, and we run it together. If all of the above resonates with you, you’ll understand why we ask for a short conversation before approving a stay. Staying at DRC is not a booking, its an invitation to be part of something special!
